"How does it all work?” ….. Is often one of the first questions we hear from potential new clients. Every project is different and we work with clients in several ways, depending on the complexity of the project. The process usually starts with a phone call or email.
“I know what I want, but I don’t sew!”
This is often the case when we’re replacing existing treatments with something similar, or making something like a window seat cushion, where there’s not a lot of design decisions to be made. If you send us some dimensions, photos and a description, we can work up a rough quote for you. We will then work with you to fine tune the details. “Help, I need window treatments, but I don’t know where to start!” The possibilities can be overwhelming when faced with a new home full of bare windows. DW can simplify the process for you.
We’ll start with a phone consult where DW will gather information about your windows, your home, and your ideas.
Next will be an in home visit of about one hour. At this time, DW will take measurements and photos. We can show you design idea books and learn more about your style, colors and budget. Depending on the scope of the project, we may also look at fabric samples at this time.
Back in the studio, DW will work on computer rendering using our state of the art design software. This will help you visualize how the treatment will look in your home. The rendering will be emailed to you, so you can consider the options at your convenience. When you have chosen a design, DW can show you samples of fabrics, and recommend trims and hardware to complement your design.
A 50% down payment will get your project on our workroom schedule. Your treatments will generally be installed about 6-8 weeks later.
